And the answers have been revealed over yonder at Parterre. And I feel awfully smug about having nailed 1-5. And the last one was...Antonietta Stella!?!? I could have guessed for days and I'd never have gotten there.
Good job Maury! You get the Father Owen Lee Memorial Chalice as runner-up.
I only got the easy ones, Price, Tebaldi and Caballe. I thought Zinka was 1, Licia 4, and Magda 6. At least Lisa was of a similar mind about Licia. Must be the chemicals in Bay Area water.
NOW I get your SF hint on 1. Good God, her name is inscribed on the wall of the War Memorial - how could I have been so blind (deaf)?
Stella? If I had guessed that my partner would have told me to get a life. Small consolation.

Muzio's vowels in that recording really are weird, weird enough that it made everyone think she was a Slav.
Even with the clue, I still wouldn't have guessed Antoinetta Stella.
What is distinctive or remarkable about Stella's voice or singing?
You are a true operaphile. I didn't even play the game. Too intimidated by the likes of you. I bow down before you.
Poor Maur! You'll just have to work harder won't you?
None of us respect your opinion anymore, you know....
;)
